Who We’re Looking For
The Housing Grant and Building Control Team are looking for an Apprentice Building Surveyor to assist the Grants Surveyors and Building Control Officers to carry out on-site inspections, scheduling grant aided work, authorising valuation payments, vetting plans and carry out inspections under the guidance of a qualified Building Control Officer to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations for varying types of construction projects throughout RCT. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and motivated, possess excellent teamwork skills and have high attention to detail.
Entry Requirements
The applicant must possess 5 GCSE’s at A-C grade including Maths, English and a Science based subject or equivalent.
What Will You Study?
As part of this Apprenticeship, depending on your qualifications you already have, you will either complete a Level 3 QCF in Construction & the Built Environment (Building Surveying) in a local College or enrol in USW to complete a Degree Apprenticeship in Building Surveying.
What will you be paid?
This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in September. You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age:
