The Independent Living Service supports our clients in their own homes across Newport, Caerphilly, Chepstow, Abergavenny and Monmouthshire. From helping with budgeting and household tasks to providing social and emotional support, you will enable individuals to live independent lives.

What is special about this opportunity?

Flexible Hours with weekly pay. A full driving license is essential for this role.

These positions have the same responsibility as our contracted staff, however as a relief member of staff, you can select shift patterns that match your personal needs.

For this role you will require an enhanced DBS check which we will pay for

How can I make a difference?

You'll be given the opportunity to work with adults who have complex health needs such as autism and epilepsy and work with some behaviours that challenge.

You will provide support with daily life skills, personal care, independent skills, and social skills and promote equality and diversity.

You'll inspire clients to live a full and active life; attending day centres and evening activities such as bowling, swimming, and the cinema.

Who are we looking for?

Don’t worry if you haven’t worked in this field before – some of our best people have no previous experience.

You'll have good written and verbal communication skills as you will be responsible for developing individual support plans and risk assessments.

You'll have the ability to work independently and be organised.
