An innovative global software company based in South Wales are currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst. The company supports a wide variety of services, including enhanced TV, on-demand video, service management, and voice and high-speed data communications. As the successful Business Analyst, you will be reporting into the Director of Products, and play a key role within the Products team in shaping the development of new product features and the ongoing refinement of existing ones.

You will be responsible for the following:
- Conceptual and functional designs of the company's software products.
- Capturing and creating requirements by conducting interviews and workshops with key holders
- Developing, validating and maintaining Use Cases describing the captured requirements
- Writing and managing Requirement Definitions for each release of the product, in support of the product roadmap and product releases
- Driving the technical resolution of issues arising from changes to scope, requirements, design, etc.

To apply for the Business Analyst role, you will be able to demonstrate experience working and communicating directly with development and QA resources to translate Business requirements into clear technical problem statements, as well as the following:

- Proven experience in a business analyst or related role
- Strong data modelling experience
- Must be able to work with UML modelling language
- Experience with Use case drive development and use case modelling
- Familiarity with modern development languages and environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve successful results working closely with customers and internal resources
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written and listening
- Proven ability to achieve challenging goals and objectives
- Must be pro-active, able to take the initiative and operate independently

Please note, some travel domestically and internationally is required with the role on an ad hoc basis.
