New Product Development Department Administrator

Job Elements

·To provide administrative support to the New Product Development department, assisting in ensuring the smooth introduction and first production of new products.

·Liaise with customers, suppliers, the commercial team.

·Input data into MRP system, including Bills of Material and material costs.

·Develop product barcode labels and manage the customer approval process.

·Assist in the co-ordination of technical feasibility and manufacturing/packaging trial runs. Complete any trial report paper work.

·Create purchase orders for trial components and raw materials.

·Provide general administrative support for the New Product Development Department.

What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:

·Good standard of general education.

·G.C.S.E. Mathematics and English, grades A*-C (or equivalent).

·Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software.

·Understanding of supply chain and associated lead times.

·Experience of liaising in-house and externally with people at all levels.

·Knowledge of MRP, in particular with reference to creating component and raw material codes and Bills of Materials.

·Experience of working in a fast moving environment.
