You will be joining the team at an exciting and challenging time because of the roll out of universal credit. So it’s an ideal opportunity to gain valuable experience in the critical field of income collection. So this is an ideal opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge in Housing

Fixed term until 31st March 2019

What will you do?

* Your excellent customer service and communication skills will provide a comprehensive administrative service to residents paying their rent.
* Take rent, Call Pay transactions and other payments made at either the rent desk or over the telephone.
* Accurately update Housing Benefit and other benefits onto our Housing systems
* Work closely with other specialist teams to deliver a seamless customer service.
* Manage the direct debits including setting up, amending and monitoring outcome reports relating to these payments.
* Provide clerical support to the team including, minute taking, photocopying, mail shots, ordering stationary and mail distribution.
* Carry out monthly customer satisfaction surveys and produce feedback reports.

Who are we looking for? (for more detail see Job Description):

You will have experience of working in a customer facing environment, have excellent interpersonal skills and a good eye for detail. Highly competent with ICT systems, you will be organised, able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. As well as supporting the busy Rents & Income team you will need to work on your own initiative and have an understanding of the impact Welfare Reform will have on our service.
