Team Supervisor for Busy Office

Administration and Purchase Ledger

Monday to Friday. Salary. circa. £22,500 depending on experience


A new full time position has become available in a busy Newport office.

The Candidate:

We are seeking an experienced team leader with “hands on” purchase ledger background.

Knowledge of imports and Forex essential, as is the ability to raise payments and reconcile accounts. A solid understanding of stock is also required.

Honesty, discretion, reliability, accuracy, and the desire to see things through to completion imperative.

You will be well organised, able to work on your own initiative, but also be able to plan workloads and staffing levels, contribute fully to, and work effectively within, a small friendly team, to ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.

You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, and deal confidently with requests from senior management and directors.

Knowledge of Exchequer software, payroll, and competence in using Excel is desirable.

You must have the right to work in the U.K. with the appropriate documentation, and be able to provide references.

The Role

The role covers all aspects of staff supervision, but also direct processing of the purchase ledger, and tasks will include, but not be limited to, checking and processing purchase invoices (and credit notes), resolving queries, reconciling all creditor accounts, raising payments, filing and any other associated tasks.

Additionally, you will assist the team, in all other tasks as required, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department and company.
