Consider becoming a Board Member at Wales PPA

About Us

Wales PPA is a national charity and membership organisation.  We promote and support bilingual pre-school care, education and learning through play across Wales by offering support on all aspects of early year provision including registration, business support, improving quality and workforce development.

The Challenge

It’s an exciting time not just within the sector with the 30 hour offer and Welsh Government’s initiative, Cymraeg 2050 to achieve 1 million Welsh speakers in Wales by 2050, but for Wales PPA as well, as we look on diversifying our income streams and opening new projects.

We are now looking for additional Trustees who share our passion and commitment and who have the skills, knowledge and experience to support excellent governance and oversight of our newly emerging strategy.  We welcome applications both from those who have previous direct experience of Board level governance and those who do not.

The role is unpaid but immensely rewarding in terms of the positive impacts our work has on our next generation. Trustee meetings are held up to six times a year, and strategic away day takes place once a year.  As a Board member you will be entitled to “out of pocket” expenses such as travel costs, and costs incurred whilst on the association’s business.

If you’re interested in making a difference to the early years sector in Wales, then we’d love to hear from you.

To find out more or for an informal discussion if you are interested in becoming a Board Member, please contact Jane Alexander, CEO on 029 2045 1242 or e-mail
