The Organisation

Wales & West Housing are one of the leading housing providers in Wales. We operate across 15 local authority areas, providing quality, affordable homes and services to more than 19,000 residents. The Opportunity

The appetite of the business to embrace change and undergo continual improvements to its systems continues apace. This is a welcomed challenge to the ICT function, and the increase and pace of external technological advancements alongside internal demands has resulted in our requirement for a new role to proactively assist and manage the various ICT projects.

Working directly to the Head of ICT, the post holder will effectively support the development of ambitious software change and third line applications support within the Group.

Development activities are undertaken both in-house and using selected development partners. The role will manage these resources to produce a continuous pipeline of new solutions for delivery into the business. This involves working with Business Analysis, Infrastructure engineers and third parties such as Microsoft.

At WWH we are predominately a Microsoft house, using MS Dynamics, O365 including extensively utilising SharePoint Online as a document repository. We also use K2 business process automation software as an orchestrator. We are looking for a Developer to manage the team, and third-party developers, understanding and proposing solutions to complex problems and driving delivery towards a DevOps environment.

You will possess strong communication skills, build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and external partners. Have a sound technical knowledge, with the ability and confidence to manage upwards to gain support and assistance. You will also relish the challenge to mentor junior staff to improve their performance.
