Quality Assurance Technician
Monmouthshire

Smart Solutions Recruitment are working in partnership with Northern Automotive Systems, who are a prestigious and market leading automotive interior manufacturer with two manufacturing sites based in Gilwern, Abergavenny and a new interior design plant in Ebbw Vale.

We are currently seeking QA Technicians to work a 4 on/4 off shift rota at their site in Gilwern, Abergavenny. These positions offer an immediate start for the right candidate.

Rate of Pay: £11.40 per hour (ins Shift allowance)

Main function of job:-

Required to audit product on a day to day basis, ensuring that required product standard is achieved
ensuring zero defects for product/identification and packaging leaves NAS and communicate/
advise production of any errors in a prompt and timely manner

Location:

Based within the Manufacturing Area you will support all Production areas. This may include supporting areas off site.

Main duties / responsibilities

- Ensure Quality Procedures are applied and in the event of non compliance, to immediately
inform the Production Supervisor, Quality and Production Managers.
- Advising on quality standards/requirements on a day to day basis
- Support the creation of Quality documentation, including Control Plans, FMEAs and Visual Aids
- Carry out capability studies as and when required.
- Carry out Gauge R@R studies as and when required.
- Ensure the Quality areas are kept in a clean and presentable condition
- Register all Quality issues in the company Shift Log at the end of every shift.
- In the event of rework ensure an acceptable standard is approved.
- To work off site in support of company issues related to Quality of product when required.
- To raise detailed reports on returned materials (RMA).
- To ensure quality standard boards are maintained / respected.
- Able to support creation of bar-code labels.
- Ensure prompt identification and disposition of non-conforming stock.
- Audit of finished goods
- Conduct process audits, report findings and verify corrective actions.
- Conduct SPC checks.
- Conduct all 1st off checks in line with control plans.

The above duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and job holders will be required to carry out any additional tasks as determined within the individual's capabilities.
