Our client based in Pontypridd currently have new positions for Electrical bias maintenance technicians. Mon-Friday role, 3 out of every 5 weeks will be day shifts Active maintenance to ensure full compliancy with environmental, health and safety levels, high standards of productivity, efficiency and quality are met with the minimum amount of downtime and in line with company policies (EHS, Quality, Asset Care, 5S, etc).

Duties Include:Electrical bias maintenance technicians Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on a varied range of plant machinery and equipment, in alignment with Asset Care pillar.
Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
Record work orders on SAP.
Conduct risk assessment/hazard identifications prior to start of work
Self motivated to work autonomously and with the minimum of supervision.
Mechanical or Electrical bias maintenance technicians will be able to work 3 shift pattern of days, afternoons and nights Mon-Friday
Provide paid weekend on call standby cover on rota
Work on own and as part of a team carrying out routine PPM, reactive and repair works as assigned by the Engineering & Production Supervisors.
Responsible for fault finding
Take full responsibility and ownership of all assigned tasks, carrying out skilled planned maintenance, repair and improvements.
Install new plant and equipment when required.
Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment.
Carry on 5S activities in the plant, workshops and storage areas.
Actively contribute to support the spare parts management.
Available to work during production shutdown to assist with shutdown maintenance projects
Flexible to work overtime to cover holidays and sickness etc

Successful Electrical bias maintenance technicians applicants should have:
completed an indentured apprenticeship in an appropriate trade.
Minimum of ONC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
Ideally Qualified to 16th / 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
Experience working within an mechanical or electrical maintenance bias role
Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings, electrical, mechanical and pneumatics.
Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
Experience in the operation of process plant and refrigeration systems are an asset.
Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use SAP maintenance software to input data and research parts.

You should have experience from within process manufacturing ideally food, chemical or steel.
