We are looking for an Assessor, who has experience in childcare learning and development, play, supporting teaching and learning.
This is a permanent position, based in Cardiff Bay, paying £17-20Kpa.
Main duties:
- to fully understand the NVQ/QCF National Standards for the NVQ/QCF qualifications being assessed and be aware of the differences between levels
- to be able to interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to candidates at all levels
- to be able to assess by direct observation of the candidates' practice as specified by the Evidence Requirements
- to conduct monthly reviews with learners to chart progress and develop learning strategies to aid learner progression- to holistically assess and monitor learners against QCF criteria
- to understand and deliver assessment of Essential Skills Wales within sector frameworks
- to ensure that all learners are given fair access to assessment
- to demonstrate full compliance with health and safety requirements
- maintain product and service knowledge
