Job Title: (Junior/Graduate) .NET Software Developer.
Location: Commutable from locations across South Wales: Cardiff, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Bridgend or Swansea.
Salary: c.£17-22,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience.
Start Date: February/March 2012.
We are currently working alongside an fantastic company based here in South Wales, assisting with their current search for a (Junior/Graduate) .NET Software Developer to join their organisation during a period of continued growth and success. Within this excellent new role being offered within the team, you would be responsible for various development activities using both C# and ASP.NET. We believe that this role would ideally be suitable for either recent graduates (from Computer Science or similar subjects) or indeed graduates with some commercial experience/exposure following the conclusion of their studies, or indeed those with commensurate experience commercially.
Amongst the daily tasks and duties required of the successful candidate will be coding applications, working closely with the test team and supporting existing applications. The successful applicant will be fully immersed in the full development lifecycle and therefore experience(in education or even better commercially) of working through all stages of a development project would be highly beneficial. Within the development cycle, you will have responsibility for tasks such as requirements gathering, development, delivery and support. This role could potentially be suitable for someone who does not possess extensive commercial experience but has great enthusiasm to continue developing new skills and experience within a Software Development environment.
We anticipate that the successful candidate for this new role might have the following skills, experience and knowledge:
*good development experience within a commercial environment (or commensurate academic exposure) with programming languages such as C# and ASP.NET, as well as some experience of HTML/XHTML.
*experience with any of the following would be beneficial: SQL Server, T-SQL, Web Services, .NET 3.5, Visual Studio (2005 or 2008), CSS, MVC, NHibernate and NUnit.
*experience of Web Application development.
*ability to work well in small teams as well as on your own initiative.
*ability to manage own projects and portfolio.
*good administration and organisational skills.
*excellent communication skills and the ability to think through a problem coupled with the confidence to make your ideas heard.
