Job Elements:
• The main purpose is to provide financial support to the company and release the Chief Financial Officer into strategic activities.
• Preparing and interpreting financial information including management and statutory accounts; Reconciliation of the balance sheet, fixed assets, control accounts and bank accounts
• Implementing and maintaining strong accounting policy and financial control systems within the business
• Management of product costing and pricing matrix to ensure cost reduction and margin sustainability.
• Review & preparation of year end audit files and primary point of contact for auditors
• Participating in strategic planning, and modelling long-term business plans; annual budgets and monitoring performance against them
The ideal candidate will have:
• Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/QBE) accountant
• Standard costing in manufacturing environment
• Up to date technical accounting knowledge
• Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of tax reporting (e.g. P11Ds and VAT) and grant applications
• Microsoft Navision
