Job Title: Web Application Developer(HTML/Ajax/Javascript).
Based: Commutable from locations across South Wales - Cardiff, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Merthyr Tydfil, Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Port Talbot or Swansea.
Salary: c.£25-30,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience and portfolio available.
Start Date: January/February 2012.
We are currently working alongside a successful and growing organisation from the financial sector in their search for a motivated Web Applications Developer to join their team here in South Wales. A modern, medium-sized software organisation, this successful company has extensive experience and a can provide both a stable working environment alongside a great variety of work and projects - they are currently looking to expand their team of Software Developers to work on a number of exciting new projects.
With regard to this exceptional new opportunity, we anticipate that the successful applicant will be tasked with the following activities within the role:
*to design and develop quality software for a software organisation in the financial sector.
*working from clear project requirements which will be given to all developers, as well as full support from the team.
*you will be responsible for developing front-end web interfaces for a variety of new projects.
*you will play a key role in providing work estimates at the outset.
*you will develop, test and maintain these application interfaces over their lifecycle.
We anticipate that the successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience to prove successful within this exceptional new opportunity:
*a proven track record of web application development and the ability to demonstrate this in a professional portfolio of your existing work.
*you will have proven commercial experience with most of the following technologies - HTML 5, AJAX, JavaScript, XML, JavaScript toolkits such as JQuery or MooTools, Ruby / Rails, CSS, PHP, MySQL.
*any experience or knowledge of the following could be beneficial - Linux / Apache, any source code repository experience (Subversion, CVS etc.), experience of working in an Agile project management environment, Sybase / SQL Server databases.
*personally, you should be proactive, knowledgable and have a passion for web application development.
*a great work ethic and a pride in producing slick, intuitive interfaces and be focused on application performance.
*strong communication skills will be required to prove successful within this position.
