Due to expansion, Autumn Leaves Homecare are currently seeking Home Carers to join our growing team!
As a Home Carer, you do one of the most important jobs in the community today. You help other people to retain as much independence as possible. At the same time, your presence indicates your clients’ dependence. Promoting independence and providing a dependant service is not easy, and skill, sensitivity, kindness and above all humour are required.
While assisting your client to wash or dress or care for their home you may be required to:
Assist the client with eating and drinkingDressing or undressingPersonal hygiene needsLight domestic duties and meal preparation
Mobility and medication needsSupporting your clients wish to stay at homeKeeping your client physically comfortableBeing the face of ‘care in the community’NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care preferred but other candidates will be considered depending on experience.
It is important to provide a reliable service, and especially to arrive at a client’s home on timeYou will be expected to undertake a full induction program & will have a period of “Shadowing” with an experienced carer prior to commencing duties on your own.Previous experience isn't essential but having your own transport is a must.
