Main Responsibilities
Ludlow Street Healthcare is an innovative, rapidly expanding organisation that provides specialist care, education and treatment services for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs and other specialist care needs.

 This is an exciting role to be a Medical Secretary to our Doctor and support them in their role as Medical Director. Your role will be to provide an efficient secretarial service and administrative support to the department. This is, by nature, a varied role which requires a level of versatility and the ability to multi-task with an ability to prioritise a heavy workload, within a busy and demanding environment. 

As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high quality secretarial and administrative support service to ensure efficiency in patient care.
  • Record and prepare draft minutes of meetings, specifying decisions made and follow up action required for approval by the meeting’s Chairperson. (At Pinetree Court and on occasions other locations as and when required).
  • Liaise with a wide variety of professionals, agencies and members of staff within and external to the group.
  • Manage relevant patient files; ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintaining and  co-ordinating diaries, arranging meetings and travel arrangements and taking minutes which may involve attendance at meetings away from the office.
  • Manage a varied and demanding workload and determine priorities relevant to the smooth running of the post.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have RSA 3 typing and a minimum of 3 years administration experience. You will also be computer literate in Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and will be able to use internal databases. You will be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal.
