We are looking for a HR Officer to start asap on a temporary basis for approx 1-2 months.
Main duties include:
- Enable managers to effectively manage cases of sickness absence, in line with relevant policies and legislation.
- Manage the recruitment process to meet the needs of the organisation.
- Provide sound HR advice in line with current employment legislation and case law on complex casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, harassment and discrimination.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Contribute to regular and ad hoc business projects which are relevant to or have an impact on the HR function.
- Maintain appropriate HR systems to enable the preparation of reports, statistics and employment information for presentation to the Head of HR & OD and other managers as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of information ensuring that access to information is strictly controlled.
- Establish, develop and maintain effective and credible working relationships with all work colleagues to ensure an integrated contribution to the organisation’s objectives.
Essential Experience:
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve
- Ability to use word processing / spreadsheet software
- Letter and report writing skills
- Ability to move between sites during the working day
- Understanding of current employment legislation
- Ability to prioritise conflicting priorities
This is a temporary position to start asap, paying £10-12ph.
