You are likely to have had around 5 years experience either working in an engineering/design environment or studying engineering in a formal academic environment..
You may already have followed a seasoned relevant engineering career path but wish to change direction.
Inventor is the lead design tool and a proven level of competence in either this and/or other leading packages is essential.
You must be able to demonstrate a strong and logical appetite for a career path in tooling design.
You must be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of appreciation of the requirements of designing design of fixtures, gauges and tooling.
You may currently be working in product design but a strong competency and interest in the above is crucial.
SKILLS
Required/Essential:
First class verbal and written communication skills.
You must demonstrate to us your potential abilities to interpret customer requirements, and to deliver practical and cost effective design solutions in a fast moving customer orientated environment .This is far more relevant to us than academic qualifications.
You must demonstrate basic customer facing skills – as your role develops you will be expected to spend more time in a customer facing situations.
You will be a good team player, capable of working with limited supervision in a peer group environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal qualifications are less important than an individual with a common sense can do attitude whom we believe we can turn into a first class practice based design engineer..
Preferred/Desirable:
Apprentice qualifications, HNC/HND or a relevant degree qualification
