Main Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer (R&D Department).

Job Elements:

  • Design and development of control systems.
  • Procurement and specification of suitable components for the control system.
  • Conducting tests and writing reports
  • Maintains all project information in line with company quality standards.
  • Engineering calculations and computational simulations to support design and test activity where appropriate.
  • Preparation of test protocols in line with the relevant industry standards for all electrical aspects of the project.
  • As part of a small technical team, coordinates and completes electrical and electronic development of motor drivers and control systems; develops test procedures and carries out testing including data logging;
  • Set-up and programming of data capture and logging equipment, use of and programming of Labview or similar data capture software
  • Participates in design reviews and maintains information from the meetings with all program activities to ensure compatibility with engineering and design requirements.

    Skills and Experience
    The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Previous related experience.
  • Additional education, for example PhD can be substituted for experience and vice versa.
  • Experience of design of control systems
  • Experience of using and programming Labview or similar data capture software.
  • Experience of electric motor development, in particular commutation of brushless DC motors.
