Main Responsibilities We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer (R&D Department). Job Elements: Design and development of control systems. Procurement and specification of suitable components for the control system. Conducting tests and writing reports Maintains all project information in line with company quality standards. Engineering calculations and computational simulations to support design and test activity where appropriate. Preparation of test protocols in line with the relevant industry standards for all electrical aspects of the project. As part of a small technical team, coordinates and completes electrical and electronic development of motor drivers and control systems; develops test procedures and carries out testing including data logging; Set-up and programming of data capture and logging equipment, use of and programming of Labview or similar data capture software Participates in design reviews and maintains information from the meetings with all program activities to ensure compatibility with engineering and design requirements.
Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have: Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Previous related experience. Additional education, for example PhD can be substituted for experience and vice versa. Experience of design of control systems Experience of using and programming Labview or similar data capture software. Experience of electric motor development, in particular commutation of brushless DC motors. | |
